Gyaase Senior High School is a mixed academic institution located in Assin Endwa/Akonfudi in the Central Region of Ghana. The school was established in 1985 as a public day secondary school to provide formal education to inhabitants of communities in its catchment areas and beyond. The school currently boasts of hostel and boarding facilities for students. The motto of the school is “Together we stand” and the slogan is “Ahene mma”. From the year 2017 to 2019, the district’s best WASSCE students, both male and female, were student of Gyaase SHS; one of whom had once been subsequently presented with the Best Excellence Award at the Korle Nursing Training College in Accra after gaining admission into the college. The school can also boast of Old students who are currently at the various universities and state institutions across the country, serving as administrators, lecturers, and students for that matter. History of the School Gyaase Senior High School was originally established on 24th September, 1985 as a private community day Secondary School in an attempt to bring education to the door steps of the people. The school’s name was agreed on by the four communities (Akonfudi, Endwa, Brofoyedur and Nduaso) which constituted the Gyaase division of the traditional area. The then Gyaase Community Day School started in Assin Endwa then was moved to Assin Akonfudi. There was this back and forth movement of the school until it was fully absorbed into the public stream by the government in September, 2010 when it was finally moved to its present location which is in the middle of Akonfudi and Endwa communities. The school officially attained a boarding status on the 7th April, 2021. VISION STATEMENT A fountain of quality education that harnesses the holistic wellbeing of leaners.
